Products

The Products feature allows you to see and manage extra details about the products you have in Shopify. See how many of your products are enabled for the Bloom Commerce Sales channel, see alcohol products, or view bundles. Additionally you can create Product Metafields for when adding values to the specification fields.

If you are selling alcohol products:

Make sure the Alcohol Products are enabled in Bloom Commerce / Settings / Products
You alcohol products must be of one of these product types in Shopify: alcohol, wine, beer, liquor, spirits, champagne, bubbly
If your are syncing your products with ShipCompliant, make sure the ABV and Volume fields sync properly using the Resync button in the Compliance section.

Setting Up Product Specifications to appear on your Product Detail Pages on your shop

1. Configuring Product Specifications

Go to "Settings" within Bloom Commerce.
Click on "Products" to view product metafields.
Choose the metafields to display (e.g., alcohol product features).

2. Choosing Specific Metafields

Select relevant fields for display:
- General fields (e.g., Appellation)
- Alcohol-related fields (e.g., Alcohol by Volume, Tasting Notes, Food Pairings)

3. Pinning Metafields for Visibility

Navigate to "Settings" > "Custom Data" > "Products."
Pin selected metafields to ensure visibility on product pages.

4. Filling in Product Information

Open a specific product
Input details in your metafields, like:
- Volume: 750 ml
- Alcohol: 13.5%
- Food Pairing: Oysters
- Tasting Notes: Copy from PDF (note: avoid copying code)

5. Saving Changes

Press "Save" to store the entered product information.

6. Customizing the Online Store

Go to the online store and click "Customize."
Select the default product page for editing.

7. Linking Dynamic Content

Use collapsible tabs to connect to dynamic sources from the product.
Link fields such as Food Pairing and Appellation to their respective tabs.

8. Previewing Changes

Preview the product page to ensure the added text populates correctly.
