In October 2022, after five years of beta testing, we released Bloom Commerce 1.0. This was a ground-up rebuilding of the administrative interface, built on top of Shopify's latest components and APIs. Now, two years later, we're introducing Bloom Commerce 2.0. Here is a list of additional features you don't have if you're using the Legacy application:

 

Orders

The new Orders view allows you to easily view membership orders or all orders with compliance errors. You can also search and filter orders by Sales Channel, including draft orders and Subscription orders.

Corporate gift orders

Easily import many orders at once for a single-payer. Orders are created as unpaid with an On-hold fulfillment status. After you've collected payment for the orders, easily mark the orders as Paid. 

New join form

Drag and drop the new mobile-friendly membership join form on any Shopify page. Allow users to select their product preferences or even customize their upcoming shipment.

Member account

Activate the new member account application where members can see the shipment in the upcoming release. Update the content to market each release and easily show or hide features, like editing Tier Preferences. 

Products

Search, filter, and view product details, including the status of your ShipCompliant sync. Product specification fields can be created as metafields on your Shopify products to enrich your search and filtering. 

Discounts

Now, member discounts are fully automated in checkout and the Shopify POS. There is no need for the member to be logged in. Discounts appear simply by adding their email address to the checkout interface. Discounts can now be combined, making them much more flexible. 

Membership preferences

One of our most powerful new features is that preferences can be defined on tiers, allowing your memberships to be segmented into groups. For example, the Gold tier could have a "Wine type" preference, where the preference options are Red wine only, White wine only, or Mixed wines. This becomes very handy when allocating products during a release. The groups ensure the default products match the member's preferences. 

Releases

Now, you can fully manage all of the details of your traditional club releases. Give your release a name and release date. Add the products, then allocate that product to your memberships. This will create packages that contain specific customization rules for that release. Bulk change products, default quantities, and minimum/maximum rules for each product. When ready, publish your release so your members can log in and customize it, if allowed. Then, batch your packages to create your final orders. Archive the release when all of the orders have been completed. 

Packages

After products have been allocated, a package is created for each membership added to a release. It is unique to each membership and can be edited by the member or an admin. Those edits are considered customizations and are tracked for reporting purposes. After packages are batched, the member is charged for the items in the package, less any discounts, and then orders are created in Shopify. 

Preflight

Imagine if you can a way to visualize how your batch is going to perform, view potential errors, see shipping rates, and estimate revenue, all before you create your orders. The Preflight report is just that! Now, you can ensure your batch orders will run smoothly since you will first create the Preflight report and confirm the orders before charging your customers. 

Subscriptions

 Bloom Commerce now allows you to set up subscription plans for your products. You can set frequencies and discounts for each product, customize the interface that appears on the product detail page, and switch the feature on in the Shopify customizer. It is easy to get started with subscription plans. 

Theme styling

Take control over how the Bloom Commerce features appear on your website. Fully customize the look and feel of the Age Gate. Set the form field and button colors to match your theme. Update content for all the features we provide.
