When you add additional products to a release packages the additions will display to the member when they log in to customize their upcoming shipment. The feature was designed to all merchants to upsell non-release products, like merchandise, food, glassware, etc.
Additions should not be used to add on extra release products. If you want your members to include additional wines not in a default package, simply add those products to the release package with a quantity of zero (0), and a min/max value. This way, there is a clear distinction between products you are allocating in the release package, and the extras (additions) that the customer can include in their shipment.
Any active product in your product catalog can be added as an additional product.
Managing additional products in bulk
After packages have been created with additional products, you can change the products in bulk.
Click on the Manage Additions at the bottom of the Edit Release view
Filter the packages as needed
Use the check boxes to select all, or some of the packages you want to bulk edit
Use the bulk editor feature at the bottom of the page to select the desired option
