Overview

Memberships are a unique feature to Bloom Commerce. They are modeled after traditional wine clubs found in applications like WineDirect or Commerce7. Customer select the membership tier they'd like to join, define their product preferences, provide shipping and billing information, then the membership is completed. Once a member they can receive special member discounts on future purchases and other benefits and perks. Customers can have more than one membership.

Define your membership tiers

Tiers are the highest level of categorization for your memberships. They represent different "levels". Think of Gold, Silver and Bronze tiers, where each tier provides different levels of benefits. Carefully consider how you want to organize your tiers as they are the foundation for how you'll interact with your memberships, releases and batches. Learn more about tiers

  1. Log into your Shopify admin and navigate to Sales channels / Bloom Commerce. This will load the Bloom Commerce dashboard.
  2. Click on the View all link in the Tiers section at the very top of the dashboard view. This will load the Bloom Commerce app in a new tab where you can begin to add your tiers.
  3. Add a new tier by giving it a title. If tier preferences are needed to more granularly categorize your memberships, add preferences. Learn more about membership tier preferences.
  4. Review all of your tier settings and ensure they are enabled as needed. Especially check the tier visibility settings to make sure the tier is available on your website or POS join forms.

Theme style and content

  1. You can update the look and feel, as well as content used for tiers in Bloom Commerce / Settings / Theme. Make your colors and form fields match your existing theme. Then navigate back to Memberships / Tiers  then click on a tier, then click on the Content tab. Here you can manage how the tier functions and update specific tier content.

Then click the Apps tab, then find Join form (Bloom commerce) and add this section to the page. Drag and drop the section to the desired location and Save.
  3. Read the section above about how to update the content and visibility for each tier. You can also update the content and feature visibility of the Join form if you navigate to Memberships / Tiers / Content
